Library · Meeting of January 14, 2026

Groveland library trustees form a subcommittee to rewrite the director's performance evaluation. Trustees Nancy, Caitlin and Laurel will lead the review with input from staff member Darcy, in a unanimous vote. Trustee Kathy called the process critical "because this is her livelihood, this is her retirement." Separately, the director and Trustee Laurel met with town officials Rebecca and Ellen on January 7 about a one-hour pay bump for a senior staff position already earning over $20 an hour, with a forecast reaching 20.5 hours by the following year.

The board also eyed Community Preservation Committee grant funding, worth three to five extra weekly hours, to fund local-history digitization, and will present its budget request to the Finance Committee on February 25 at 5 p.m. The treasurer reported a $10,942.44 year-end balance in the library's Florence trust fund.
