Library Trustees Approve $13,371 in August Warrants

Library · Meeting of September 8, 2026

Groveland library trustees approved $13,371.23 in warrants and pushed ahead on a town-mandated email migration. Treasurer Laurel reported the board has withdrawn $3,998.61 from trust funds so far this fiscal year, all processed through investment firm Bartholomew under a written procedure she wants added to the trustees' handbook. Trustee Rachel asked for a reconciliation check and quarterly statements on the library's Francis Sullivan trust account "as another check and balance." Library Director Darcy said the Select Board voted August 31 to spend Francis Sullivan Fund money on a new door crash bar and rekeying, calling it "a lot less expensive" than an earlier $9,000 full-door-replacement plan.

Trustee Lee is still struggling to access the library's new town-issued email account on a phone. Board members will be honored at an October 6 volunteer recognition event.
