Library Trustees Add Wednesday Hours, Reelect Officers
Library · Meeting of June 10, 2026
Groveland library trustees expand Wednesday hours, reelect officers. The Board of Library Trustees voted unanimously to add three hours of Wednesday service beginning July 1, opening at 10 a.m. instead of 1 p.m. while keeping the 8 p.m. close. Jan Dempsey was reelected chair, with Nancy staying on as vice chair, Caitlin as secretary and Laurel as treasurer, all by 7-0 votes.
Trustees also approved $700 for a Museum of Science membership and $265 for the library's American Laser printer maintenance contract, both drawn from state aid funds, and voted to order a test set of four new chairs, model OEF-2200. Library Director Darcy said the year's materials spending remains on track to meet the state's roughly 19 percent threshold required to qualify for aid, a requirement trustees said the library once fell short of, at a cost.
