Board of Selectmen · Meeting of February 11, 2026

Saugus Board of Selectmen approved a common victualer's license for a new mall dessert kiosk. The board voted 5-0 to let Candy Break LLC open Dolcella inside Square One Mall, with hours running from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. depending on the day. Owner Anil Tanriverdi said the brand runs six kiosks nationally and plans "maybe 20 more" this year.

The board also confirmed Bill Ferrengo's appointment to the Conservation Commission by roll call, 5-0, and heard from East Saugus Improvement Association director Barbara Dewsnap, who said the town is suing the association over a disputed Stalker Street property via adverse possession and that the group "looks forward to its day in court." Selectman Jeff Cicolini said the board favors "regulated enforcement" over a blanket ban on e-bikes for younger riders.
