Gloucester Planning Board Continues 40-Unit Main Street Project Review to May 21

GLOUCESTER — May 7, 2026 — Gloucester Planning Board unanimously delays review of 40-unit mixed-use project at 150 Main Street. The board voted 6-0 at its May 7 meeting to continue the major project special permit application filed by Gloucester, Maine, LLC — covering Assessor's Map 8, Lot 64 — to May 21, 2026, after the applicant requested more time for an independent peer review. Planning Director Greg Katamatori told the board the peer review was "underway" and that results were expected in time for the next meeting. Vice Chair Jane Remsen presided in the absence of Chair Rick Noonan. The board also approved its April 16 minutes on a 5-0 vote, with Remsen abstaining because she had not attended that meeting. The entire session lasted three minutes.
