NAHANT — The Nahant Select Board voted to authorize possible litigation against the owners of 47 Little Nahant Road over short-term rental violations. The 3-0 vote came after resident George Mulhovin told the board the property "has been operating an illegal short-term rental for over a year and a half," while neighbor Joseph Schultz said it had been rented continuously for 34 days since an April 15 zoning board denial was recorded. Co-owner Dr.
A. Chandra and principal Steven Kenny said they registered with the state and passed town inspections. Earlier, the board reorganized, naming Rob Thibault chair, Patrick O'Reilly vice chair and Patty Karras recording secretary, approved a $1,246,000 MWRA water bond, and postponed a National Grid pole petition on Pleasant Street after resident Sheldon Sevenor said he has "been losing electricity intermittently since 1989."
