Lynn School Committee unanimously backs a $30,000 grant-funded mural by immigrant students, then absorbs hours of budget backlash. The Welcome Center and RAW Artworks won 7-0 approval for "Murals of Belonging," a New England Foundation for the Arts-funded project pairing 20 newcomer youth with muralists to paint a building facing the Lynn Way at no cost to the district.
