Zoning Board Delays Lynnway Dealership Pending Road Deal

Zoning Hearing Board · Meeting of September 15, 2026

Lynn Zoning Board delays Lynnway dealership permit over unsigned road deal, sober house bid withdrawn. The board voted unanimously to continue Car Realty LLC's bid to convert a Lynnway furniture store into a Class 1 auto dealership after EDIC executive director Danya Smith's letter said the city "opposes the petitioner's request" absent a signed agreement to fund the Circle Avenue extension. Attorney Samuel A.

Vitale represented the petitioner; a city staffer identified as Danny said the development team offers "tentative support." Separately, Grace House LLC withdrew without prejudice its application for a 34-bed sober house at 28 Linwood, down from an original 40 beds, after board questioning. A special permit case at 91 R River Street was continued 5-0 to Oct. 6 with no one present to speak for it, and a Walter Street site-plan review was also pushed to Oct. 6 after being left off the agenda.
