Groveland Water Commission refunds a resident $20 and greenlights two private sewer hookups. Resident Dana Beaulieu got a one-time waiver of a disputed demand fee after Water Superintendent Colin explained the office's 15-day billing grace period; Beaulieu called it "principle," not money. The board approved a sewer force main for a Nelson Street garage pending an Apex peer review, signed off on water and sewer connections for two new Main Street duplexes contingent on a still-pending MassDOT highway permit, and authorized up to $10,000 to buy pipe for a James Street water main upgrade a private builder will help install.
Superintendent Colin said residents near town wells will see roughly one more week of discolored water annually through 2029, when a PFAS and iron-and-manganese treatment plant is expected online. The board also corrected prior minutes to show a 2-0 vote rather than unanimous approval, and disclosed Commissioner John Gray has resigned, leaving a vacancy the Board of Selectmen could fill as early as August 3.
