Sewer Subsystem 1D Design Work Set to Begin July 20
SAUGUS — Design work is set to begin July 20 on the rehabilitation of Sewer Subsystem 1D, the town announced, while the Saugus Public Library's summer concert series continues at the Iron Works with Memorylaners taking the stage July 22.

The Town of Saugus announced that design work will begin on July 20 for the Sewer Subsystem 1D Rehabilitation Project, according to a News Flash posted by the town. Details on the scope and timeline of the design phase were not further specified in the release, but residents can expect continued updates as the infrastructure project moves forward.
Town Manager Scott Crabtree's office has also been active in recent weeks with public advisories on air quality and extreme heat, and the town website noted several upcoming public meetings, including a Retirement Board meeting on July 21, a Conservation Commission meeting on July 22, and a Zoning Board of Appeals meeting on July 23.

The Saugus Public Library's Summer Concerts @ the Iron Works series continues Wednesday, July 22, with a performance by Memorylaners on the library's big lawn, according to the library's website. The series previously featured Renee Leavitt & the Renegades on July 15.
Also on view at the library is "Forged in Saugus: Donna-Marie Mironchuk," an exhibit on display in the Reading Room at 295 Central Street through August, per the library's announcement. The library additionally noted that its Yoga Experience program is on hiatus for July and August, while summer reading programs for teens and adults continue, alongside a Pokemon-themed summer reading program for younger patrons. The library is closed Saturday, July 18, and will host a CFCE Storytime for ages 0-6 on July 17 and free Summer Reading Enrichment Programs for grades 1-2 and 3-5 on July 20.
