NORTH ANDOVER — June 24, 2026 — North Andover Conservation Commission installs new chair and sets course for wetlands regulation overhaul. The commission unanimously elected John T. Maven as chair at its June 24 meeting, with Marissa Valentino elected vice chair; both succeeded an outgoing chair who was praised for "decades" of service and who remains on the body after reappointment to a three-year term by the Board of Selectmen. The commission approved certificates of compliance for two Lorraine Avenue properties — one with a condition requiring a stormwater operations and maintenance report by summer's end — and approved a driveway repaving waiver at 136 Carlton Lane, just under 10 feet from an intermittent stream, after contractor Howard Cooper of Cooper Brothers Asphalt testified on the record that no alternative driveway location was feasible.
