Lynn Disability Commission approves annual report, outreach fair fee
Other Committee · Meeting of June 2, 2026
Lynn Disability Commission approves its first annual report and a $25 outreach-fair fee. Chair Rochelle Waterman-Williams presented the draft report, which flags a $75,000 ADA self-assessment line item still stuck in bid evaluation and recommends the commission get a bigger role in vetting new members. Members approved the report "as amended with the updated financial statement" after Chris Gaeta supplied fresh numbers, and separately voted to pay $25 to reserve a table at the Lynn Disability Network's July 11 Community Resource and Outreach Fair.
The group also budgeted roughly $932 for a branded tablecloth, frisbees, pens, stickers and placard holders ahead of the July 21 Disability Pride Month flag-raising, but tabled a proposed outreach subcommittee pending bylaw guidance. "I couldn't get there in wet weather," resident Bob said of a Union Street accessibility barrier during public comment.
