Danvers Conservation Commission Approves Four Permits at One Busy Meeting

DANVERS — May 28, 2026 — Danvers Conservation Commission approved four wetlands permits and issued an enforcement order at its May 28 meeting, completing a six-item agenda in under two hours. The five-member voting panel, chaired by Mary Haight, unanimously issued Orders of Conditions for 86 Elliott Street, where applicants Majlinda and Spartak Vaka reduced stream-buffer encroachment from 9.9 percent to 6.7 percent in the no-disturb zone; for 54 Cherry Hill Drive, where Abiomed is adding 23 to 24 parking spaces with a stormwater redesign at its Johnson and Johnson facility; for 32 Centre Street, where owner Adimir Toska converted a demolished pool to four rear parking spaces adding roughly 460 square feet of impervious surface; and for 28 Brentwood Circle, where Greg Maynard received approval for a single-story addition conditioned on adding an 18-inch stone infiltration trench for roof runoff. The Vaka property also drew a companion Enforcement Order requiring unpermitted stream crossings to be removed within 30 days and a wetland restoration plan filed within 60. A sixth application, for a house on a heavily filled lot at 267 Centre Street with an unmapped but field-confirmed wetland, was continued to June 11 pending a commission site visit.
