Town Hall Closes Friday as Walsh Steps Into Major National Role

Town Hall will be closed Friday, July 3, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Normal hours, Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. resume Monday, July 6.

Residents are reminded that a Library Trustees vacancy remains open; details are posted on the town website. The town homepage also continues to carry a notice about road paving on Summer Street in front of Town Hall and on Baldwin Lane, which was originally scheduled for mid-June.

The Lynnfield Public Library has a pair of programs kicking off Tuesday, July 1: Story Time for children ages zero through five runs from 10 to 10:30 a.m., and Coloring Club for adults and teens is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. On Wednesday, July 2, the library hosts its Classic Film Club focusing on Road Movies from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by Virtual Yoga for adults from noon to 1 p.m. The library's Summer Reading 2026 program, themed "Plant a Seed, Read", is currently underway; residents can track progress through the Beanstack platform.
