State Budget Sends $175,000 to Lynnfield Projects, Boosts Local Aid
LYNNFIELD — The fiscal year 2027 state budget signed into law this month includes $175,000 earmarked for Lynnfield projects along with an increase in Chapter 70 school aid and unrestricted local aid, according to the office of state House Minority Leader Brad Jones. The funding news arrives as several town boards prepare to meet this week and the library navigates its own budget pressures.

The Lynnfield Public Library's roof is under repair this July, the library said, a service disruption residents should expect to continue through the month. Separately, the library has scheduled a virtual program July 20 from 7 to 8 p.m., "Celebrating America's 250th: The Black experience of the Revolution," featuring Herstorian Gracia Rich, open to all ages.
