State Budget Sends $175,000 To Lynnfield Projects
LYNNFIELD — Lynnfield is set to receive $175,000 in earmarks through the fiscal year 2027 state budget, while the town's library continues working to maintain services amid staffing and funding constraints.

Roadwork continues across town this week. Contractor K5 Line Painting was scheduled to conduct line painting Wednesday evening at several recently paved locations, with the DPW warning residents to expect traffic impacts. Separately, town-wide drain structure repairs are underway, according to notices posted to the town's News Flash system.
The town's Library Board of Trustees has an open vacancy, per a notice on the town website. Residents interested in serving are directed to the town's civic alerts page for details.
Several town boards have meetings on the calendar this week: the Housing Authority and Tree Committee both meet Monday, July 20, the Conservation Commission meets Tuesday, July 21, and the Anti-Hate Task Force meets Thursday, July 23.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Lynnfield Public Library has several programs on tap this week. Summer Saturdays continues Saturday, July 18, from 10 a.m. to noon with a Paper Bag Lanterns craft for children ages 6-11. Crafty Club for adults meets Monday, July 20, from 2-3:30 p.m., and the same evening the library hosts a virtual program, "Celebrating America's 250th: The Black Experience of the Revolution," with Herstorian Gracia Rich, from 7-8 p.m., open to all ages. Teen Craft Kits featuring a DIY Friendship Bracelet project are available starting Tuesday, July 21.
The library also noted its roof is undergoing repairs this July, and is running a Back to School Drive in partnership with Citizens Inn.
