Saugus Library Kicks Off Summer Concerts and Reading Programs This Week

Summer is firmly underway in Saugus, with the town's calendar quiet heading into the July 4th holiday week and the public library's warm-weather programming lineup just getting started.

The Saugus Public Library has a busy stretch ahead as its summer programming kicks into gear. On Tuesday, July 1, the library hosts Storytime with Gemma at 10:30 a.m., followed that evening by a free outdoor concert — Atwater & Donnelly performing at the historic Saugus Iron Works at 6 p.m., part of the library's returning Summer Concerts at the Iron Works series.

Later in the week, Music and Mother Goose with Miss Amy is scheduled for Wednesday, July 2, at 10:30 a.m.; registration is required. A Saugus Fire Department Storytime, originally set for that same morning at the Iron Works, has been postponed to July 9.

The library is also running its 2026 Summer Reading programs for children (themed around Pokémon), teens, and adults. A Teen Advisory Board is forming for residents interested in shaping teen programming; the group meets July 27. The library is also putting out a Call for Art from local creators.
