Rep. Jones Cancels July Office Hours, Resumes in August

State Representative Bradley Jones' monthly Lynnfield district office hours scheduled for today have been cancelled, with the next session set for August, while the Lynnfield Public Library moves ahead with a full slate of summer programming this week.

TOWN HALL

The town's Select Board and Finance Committee are both scheduled to meet Monday, July 13, according to the town calendar, alongside a Lynnfield Public Library Trustees meeting Tuesday, July 14, and an Open Space & Recreation Working Group session Wednesday, July 15. The town has also posted a vacancy notice for the Library Trustees board, inviting residents interested in serving to review the posting on the town website.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lynnfield Public Library is running a busy children's and family calendar this week. A "Summer Saturdays" Hoop Glider program for children ages 6-11 is set for Friday, July 11, from 10 a.m. to noon. A virtual program marking America's 250th anniversary, "The Two Nerdy History Girls Discuss Everyday" life, is scheduled for Monday, July 13, from 7 to 8 p.m. and is open to all ages. The library will also hold Summer Story Time for children ages 0-5 on Tuesday, July 14, from 10 to 10:30 a.m., followed by "Terrific Tuesdays" with the North Suburban Child & Family Resource Network for the same age group from 4 to 4:45 p.m.

Library patrons should also note that roof repairs are underway at the library building this month, per a notice posted on the library's website.
