Peabody Sets Dates for 41st Annual International Festival

PEABODY — Peabody has set Sept. 27 as the date for its 41st annual International Festival downtown, according to a City Hall announcement, giving residents and Main Street businesses more than a month's notice to plan for one of the city's largest annual gatherings.

TOWN HALL

City Hall confirmed the 41st International Festival will return to downtown Peabody on Sept. 27, per a notice posted to the city's website. The festival has long been a marquee draw for Main Street shops and restaurants, and this year's date announcement gives residents and vendors early lead time to plan.

Election officials also posted new information for the upcoming state primary, according to a notice on the city website, aimed at helping registered voters find polling details and deadlines ahead of the election. Separately, the city announced a public meeting on its Annual CAPER report to HUD, part of the ongoing federal reporting City Hall has flagged this summer alongside its 30-day comment period on the annual report to the housing agency, a process the city's News Flash feed has continued to track this week.

SCHOOLS

Peabody Public Schools has a Regular School Committee Meeting on the calendar for Aug. 25, followed by a New Teachers orientation day on Aug. 26, according to the district's events calendar, as the district finishes preparations ahead of the new school year.
