Methuen Youth Soccer opens registration for its fall season, the lone piece of local sports news reported for the week.

METHUEN -- Methuen Youth Soccer's website shows fall registration is now open. The organization, known as MYSA, fields teams across several age groups, including the U4 Methuen Rec Soccer Shots program for preschool and kindergarten-age players, U6 and U8 divisions, and the G4, G6, G8 and G10 & GPG divisions for older players. The league is affiliated with the Essex County Youth Soccer Association and Massachusetts Youth Soccer Association, and it also offers a TopSoccer program for players with disabilities, developed in partnership with Essex County Youth Soccer, Mass Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer.
