Lynnfield Schedules Mosquito Spraying At Schools, Parks Monday Night
LYNNFIELD — The town will conduct a barrier and ULV adulticide pesticide application to control mosquitoes at several schools and parks Monday night, running from 7:45 p.m. to midnight, according to a public notice from the town and confirmed by Lynnfield Patch.
TOWN HALL
The town's Public Fields & Parks notice designates Monday's spraying as a "standard written notification" barrier and ULV adulticide treatment, with the window set from 7:45 p.m. to midnight. Lynnfield Patch separately reported the same schedule, noting the spraying covers several schools and parks townwide.
Town Hall also flagged the start of town-wide drain structure repairs, though the notice released few specifics beyond the announcement itself. Separately, MassDOT and its contractor, McCourt, are planning an I-95 ramp closure in the area; the town's alert did not detail dates or which ramp is affected.
The town is also seeking to fill a vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees, according to a notice posted to the town's News Flash page.
COMMUNITY & ARTS
The Lynnfield Public Library has added an August slate of events even as its roof repair project continues. Teens can build pressed-flower jar lanterns Monday, Aug. 3, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., and the library will host a virtual talk that same evening, 7 to 8 p.m., with author Lars D. H. Hedbor as part of its "Celebrating America's 250th" series, discussing his book "The Convention." Younger patrons get Summer Story Time Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 10 to 10:30 a.m.
The library also launched a Back to School Drive with Citizens Inn, collecting school supplies and clothing for families in need ahead of the new school year.
