Lynn Public Library Opens Summer Reading and Weekly Kids Programs

With June closing out and summer programs now underway, Lynn residents can look to the public library for a steady run of weekly programming through August, while city hall and the school district offer little new activity at the mid-year mark.

The Lynn Public Library's summer is in full swing. The library's "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading program is open to children, teens, and adults, with separate tracks for each age group available through the library's website.

Starting Wednesday, July 1, families can drop in for Messy Mornings with the LPL, a hands-on children's program running from 10 to 11 a.m. every Tuesday through August. Teens have their own recurring slot: Teen Tech Space runs every Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m., also continuing through August 6.

Residents should note the library is operating on modified summer hours through at least July 2: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; closed Saturdays and Sundays. The library will also be closed Thursday, July 3.
