Lynn Public Library Kicks Off All-Ages Summer Reading Program

The Lynn Public Library's "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading program is underway for children, teens, and adults, giving residents a reason to stop in before the long holiday weekend.

The library's summer reading program — "Plant a Seed, Read" — is open to all ages this season, with separate tracks for children, teens, and adults. Registration and details are available on the Lynn Public Library website at lynnpubliclibrary.org.

Residents heading to the library this week should note adjusted summer hours in effect through July 2. All departments are open Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; the building is closed weekends. The library will also be closed Thursday, July 3, ahead of the Independence Day holiday.

Looking ahead to weekly recurring programs: Messy Mornings with the LPL runs Tuesday mornings, 10 to 11 a.m., starting July 1. Teen Tech Space meets Wednesday afternoons, 3 to 5 p.m., beginning July 2. Both programs repeat weekly through at least early August.
