Library Trustee Vacancy Opens as Roof Repairs Continue

LYNNFIELD -- The Lynnfield Public Library is undergoing roof repairs this month while the town seeks a resident to fill a vacancy on the Library Board of Trustees, according to town and library postings.

TOWN HALL

The town's website notes an open seat on the Library Board of Trustees, with residents encouraged to read on for details about applying. Separately, the Select Board and Finance Committee are both scheduled to meet Monday, July 13, and the Library Trustees have posted an agenda for a meeting Tuesday, July 14, according to the town calendar. An Open Space & Recreation Working Group meeting is also on the books for Wednesday, July 15.

SCHOOLS

Lynnfield Public Schools' homepage points to several planning documents now available to families, including the district's Strategic Plan for 2026-2031 and the FY27 Budget Book. The district has also posted its Child Find and Proportionate Share consultation information for home-school and private-school families under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, with a letter and flyer available detailing meeting dates and times. The first day of school for grades 1-12 is set for Wednesday, September 2, 2026, per the district calendar.
