Library Sets Summer Reading Kickoff as Lynnfield Crash Story Gains Regional Notice

A Lynnfield-linked traffic crash is drawing regional attention for its ripple effects on a local food business's growth plans, while the Public Library counts down to its Summer Reading kickoff this weekend.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

The Lynnfield Public Library is heading into a busy stretch. The Summer Reading Kickoff Party is set for Sunday, June 29, from 2:30 to 4 p.m., open to all ages. That same evening, the library hosts a virtual lecture — "Celebrating America's 250th: Common Soldier: Uncommon Hero" — with historian Bruce E. Mowday, running from 7 to 8 p.m. Before that, on Saturday, June 27, children can drop in for Nature Bracelets from 10 a.m. to noon. The Last Tuesday Book Club for adults meets Monday, June 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The Library Board of Trustees also holds its regular meeting that evening.

The library's website notes that roof repairs are ongoing this June, and a reminder is up that Kanopy free streaming is available to any resident with a Lynnfield library card.
