Library moves to summer hours through early September

The Lynn Public Library has moved to its summer schedule, and its calendar over the coming days is stacked with teen tech sessions, family mornings, and movie nights, according to the library's own listings.

The Lynn Public Library announced its summer hours will run through September 7, with all departments open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; the library will be closed weekends during this period and closed entirely on Monday, September 7. The library also continues to promote its "Plant a Seed" summer reading program for children, teens, and adults, with sign-up links available through the library's website.

The library's community calendar shows a busy stretch ahead, including Teen Tech Space sessions, a Movie Night, Messy Mornings programming for young children, and a Teen Entrepreneur Speaker Series, all held at the library's North Common Street location.

Separately, the city's community calendar lists the Lynn Police Department's Bicycle Safety Day, set for Friday, July 10, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., an event aimed at promoting safe cycling practices among residents.
