GROVELAND -- Groveland Youth Soccer has filled in scheduling details for two of its season-opening events and added a new date to its fall calendar, according to the league's website.
YOUTH LEAGUES -- The league confirmed times for its two-session picture day: Sunday, Sept. 20, from 9:30 a.m. to noon, covering the Little Kickers, U6 and U8 groups along with makeups for U10 players; and Tuesday, Sept. 22, from 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m., covering the Rangers, Thunder and Lightning teams, with a makeup slot for U4, U6 and U8 players. The league said families should check their email for picture-purchasing details.
Sunday, Sept. 20 also remains the first day of Sunday soccer, previously pushed back two weeks from its original Sept. 12 date. The league said it will hold an equipment swap for cleats and shin guards that day and asked families to arrive early for jerseys and name tags; parents may take gear their children need or leave items their kids have outgrown.
The league's site also listed a newly added event, Pentucket Youth Soccer Night, set for Thursday, Sept. 24, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Pentucket High School.
