Boston Children's Hospital Sells Peabody Campus for $62 Million

PEABODY — Boston Children's Hospital has sold its Peabody campus at 10 Centennial Drive for $62 million, according to a report from NBC Boston, as the city's downtown Central Street reconstruction project brought its first round of detours this week.

The city's Central Street roadway rehabilitation project got underway this week, bringing daytime detours and street closures to the downtown corridor as crews began work under the project Mayor Edward A. Bettencourt Jr. has championed as part of his downtown revitalization push. The city's News Flash said local access will be maintained whenever possible during construction.

City Hall also hosted a ceremony honoring student winners of Peabody's America 250 essay contest, according to the city's News Flash. Separately, the city posted information for residents ahead of the upcoming State Primary Election.
