Andover Soccer Association held its fall coaches meeting this week ahead of a busy slate of season-opening dates.

ANDOVER -- The most concrete sports news of the week came from Andover's youth soccer program, while Andover Recreation and the town's baseball association each posted new items to their websites. Andover High School had no games during the period, according to ArbiterLive.

TOWN -- Andover Recreation has released its Fall and Winter 2026 Program Guide, according to the department's website.

YOUTH LEAGUES -- The Andover Soccer Association (ASA) held its ECYSA Fall coaches meeting on Sept. 2, according to the association's online calendar. ASA's calendar lists first games for Sept. 12, when the association will also have a presence at Oaktoberfest at Oak & Iron Brewery; a Fall Soccer Kickoff party on Sept. 13; an appearance at Andover Day on Sept. 19; and the close of kindergarten registration on Sept. 27. ASA describes itself as the second-largest youth soccer association in Massachusetts, registering about 1,500 players, more than 200 volunteer coaches and 70 youth referees, and representing 1,200 families, with boys' and girls' teams for ages 5 to 18.

The Andover Baseball Association's website now lists "In-House Registration to Open in November 2026" among its 2026 Important Dates.
